Locale is a marketing tool for small business owners. It promotes their products and services to the local community through online platforms. Using AI, businesses can upload products and create a personalised social feed for different social media platforms — helping them reach their target audience and expand their online presence.
Many small businesses are lagging behind in utilising social media platforms as a marketing tool, which is causing them to miss out on potential sales, increased brand awareness, and a wider customer base. This lack of adoption puts them at a disadvantage against competitors already utilising these platforms.
Gaining Insights
Our journey began with a deep dive into the small business sector. We collected a wealth of data from both primary and secondary research to create a detailed map of the problem area — gaining a thorough understanding of the sector, its stakeholders, and the challenges they faced.
Prototypes
Next, we moved on to designing and iterating on wireframes and low-fidelity prototypes. This approach allowed us to focus on the core functionality of our design, connecting small businesses to their communities.
Vision Video
Our vision video streamlined filming and saved time, offering users a conceptualised look at Locale's day-to-day interactions between customers and store owners. Users can post, edit and choose what platform to upload their product catalogue to, allowing their users to access their products in their customers' favourite social platforms.
"Social media is important for businesses of all sizes and industries as it helps in finding potential customers, which in turn has a positive impact on sales."
